The concept is simple. Cats and Dogs, lol... Not literally but to some extent.

Shannon is a puma shifter who can't shift. Werewolves tend to hunt them down and kill them just for pleasure. Shannon lives away from the shifter community, but on one occasion, she is attacked and taken from the parking lot. Now perched on the tallest tree in the woods, she has no option to escape the werewolf shifters who are crazy.

Anton is line to be the next Alpha of the pack and he manages to save her the first time. The attraction between them is inevitable and she soon becomes his charge. He also decides to spend the mating season with her. Now, there are other puma shifters in this world. In a community were female non-shifting pumas were rare, they're used as breeding machines due to the higher success in pregnancy, unlike the shifter females.

This book has a graphic almost rape scene, so if you aren't comfortable with this stuff you should avoid it. Otherwise this story is far much better when compared to the first book in this series. It has more emotions and action to the story. The scenes between the puma and a werewolf is refreshing to read.
