Review: Slay All Day

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Slay All Day by Cynthia Eden is definitely a treat to Paranormal Lovers and Eden fans. After a few romantic suspense books in a row, this felt like a jackpot.

Elise is on the run for her life. She’s a banished princess, not used to the life of humans. In a day, her life takes a one-eighty-degrees turn and her only chance of survival is Harrison, the big-bad hunter. But Harrison has a secret he’s not aware of. When she demands his services he first walks away, but later changes his mind and decides to help her. Elise is continuously attacked by the supernaturals in the area. Harrison suspects something is off with her, but she continues to twist the truth because the moment he learns of her identity he will kill her.

The book packs a lot of surprises along the way and keep us thrilled throughout. There are many wow moments. Elise is sarcastic with a touch of wickedness. But that side of her isn’t shown much. She often jumps in front of the gun to save people who are close to Harrison. She makes us laugh and most of the times her thoughts leave us some clues. But it isn’t almost after a good 70% into the story you get to know what she actually is.

My favorite character in this entire story and the one who steals the show is Harrison Key. I had my doubts on what he could be throughout and I gave myself a pat on the back for guessing it right. That’s one thing about Cynthia. I like how she led her readers on a guessing game before the secrets are revealed. Another highlight is the romance. It was hot, packed with lot of steam and the anticipation was just right. Harrison Key is a whole package.

I wanted the story to last even when it was over, and binge read it in a day. Thanks a lot for this story. I can’t wait for another Paranormal romance from this author. Highly recommend this book.
