My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This book was better than the first one in the series.
Steel though looks hard on the outside, one of the sensitive cyborgs in the ship. He gets Rena from Flint and doesn't want to keep her, mostly because he didn't trust humans. Steel longs for a familial bond and the fact that his colony female replaced him so easily, create a scar so deep. Rena is afraid of what could happen to her if she were to given to another cyborgs. She also happens to know a secret code that would disable cyborg temporarily and she tries to seduce Steel to see reason to keep her as his possession.
The story follows Rena and Steel. Rena mostly trying to convince him and Steel trying to push her away. There are many characters I hate in this book. Flint is hardheaded as usual. I don't see much of a change in him.
